From 12:50 pm - 1:30 pm Executive Director, Chris Laing will be on a panel about Texas’ Innovation EcoSystem and Its Impact on the Texas Economy.
The Texas’ Innovation Ecosystem will include conversations from industry experts from different regions of Texas coming together to highlight the innovation taking place across and how it enables Texas to be a world-class leader in healthcare and biotechnology.

The Summit will include discussions on issues being reviewed during the 86th Legislative Session, health policy issues impacting patient access, research and development, and the future of the healthcare and life sciences industries in Texas. All dollars raised through sponsorships are re-invested back into THBI’s advocacy efforts. The summit audience brings together healthcare and bioscience executives and policy leaders from across Texas.
The Luminary Dinner will take place the evening of February 11th at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel. The Luminary Dinner honors individuals for their contributions and efforts to further the development of the life science industry in Texas. Previous honorees include state legislators and elected officials, patient advocates and industry executives.
The Summit will also host Life Science Capitol Day on February 12th bringing advocates and industry representatives together to meet with legislators to discuss the policies being reviewed. THBI will host an exhibit in the Capitol’s Rotunda further showcasing the importance of supporting legislation that will enable patient’s access to care and keeping Texas a world-class leader in innovation.
