Capital City Innovation at the 2019 Annual BIO International Convention

This week, The Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute (THBI) is in Philadelphia with a delegation of 25 Texas representatives from different communities, universities and companies. They are there to showcase the state’s thriving biotechnology and life sciences sector at the world’s largest biotechnology conference, the BIO International Convention. You can find Capital City Innovation(CCI) among them.

The BIO International Convention is the largest global event for the biotechnology industry and attracts the biggest names in biotech, offers key networking and partnering opportunities, and provides insights and inspiration on the major trends affecting the industry.

More than 16,000 biotechnology and pharmaceutical leaders are expected to attend the annual gathering.

Texas is home to more than 5,500 life science and research firms and approximately 228,353 workers in related fields. Many top Fortune 500 companies focused on life sciences, and many global industry leaders have major operations in the state.
